The Paramus 4th of July Committee is a non-political group comprised of volunteers appointed by the mayor and affiliated with the Borough of Paramus and what we believe is a committee of family. The Paramus 4th of July Committee has the honor and responsibility of the Independence Day Parade, The Annual Softball Game, The Block Party, and the Fireworks Show.
Michelle Limbacher is the Paramus High School Spanish teacher and head coach of the Paramus Pacers Swim Team. Limbacher is also one of the swim coaches to age group swimmers on Scarlet Aquatics. She moved to Paramus in 2002 in order to give her three children a wonderful education and sense of community. She joined the committee 10 years ago to help give back to a community that has made our life full of great memories and love. As vice chairwoman, it is Michelle Limbacher’s task to ensure our July 4th activities will continue to foster great memories families can talk about for years to come.
“It fills my heart to see so many people enjoy these fun filled events.”
Nicole Collis has been a member of the Paramus 4th Of July Committee for 3 years and has taken on the role of Parade Coordinator for the last 2 years. Collis has a true passion for volunteering as well as bringing community together. Collis believes that seeing the pure joy on everyone’s faces during the celebrations really does make all of the hard work worth the effort.
“I am super thankful to be apart of such a welcoming and driven committee.”

Richard Limbacher Jr.
Fireworks Entertainment Coordinator / Master Of Ceremonies
Having been a part of the Committee for over 5 years, Rich Limbacher loves the time spent with his wife, children, committee members and Paramus community with both the parade and fireworks. Watching parents wave at the parade is awesome but the kids reactions (his too) to the amazing fireworks makes all the work behind the scenes simply amazing. The feeling of the denizens of Paramus knowing this is “their parade, their fireworks” really brings everyone together smiling and supporting each other and makes him proud to MC the Fireworks event and parade support!
Pat has lived in Paramus for 62 years and has always enjoyed the fireworks show in town. After meeting the amazing committee members who ran the celebration events in person, her and her husband, Jim asked to join the team. Even 5 years later, Pat looks forward to each event like it were the first. Pat is the Vehicle Coordinator and believes the show gets better every year,
Jim’s wife and he got married in 1964 then moved to Paramus in 1966. His reasons for joining the committee team over 6 years ago is simple, “We enjoy helping people and we enjoyed the parade and fireworks .We decided to see if there was anything we could do to help.” Showing great initiative and enthusiasm, shortly after joining, Jim became the Utilities Coordinator. Jim takes great pride in being able to make such a positive impact on his home community alongside the love of his life.
Teen Volunteer Coordinator
As a Paramus resident born and raised, CJ was proud to join the committee this year as the Teen Volunteer Coordinator. CJ felt it was a natural fit the to become an inspiring figure that the youth can look to. He was most impressed to see how open-minded the committee and the borough of Paramus is in its appreciation and compassion for the diverse people our community embodies. He has made it his mission to uphold the standards put in place for him to make sure all of the incoming members follow in that path.

The reason Joe Valentino has been a 21 year Paramus resident and a 6 year veteran committee member is the sense of pride he gets from calling this great town his home. From father to small business owner, Joe believes that coordinating the events helps give back to the place he calls home. There is no task too big or too small in the course of making a positive impact on society.
“When the first rocket goes off at the start of the fireworks and my wife and kids are around me and I see the smile and the look in their eyes, knowing I had a part in that with my committee, there’s no better feeling.”
